All... I wanted you to see the finished product. 5.75 kW system, using 22 Hyundai MG 260 Watt panels and Enphase M250. Not pictured are four panels on a rear alcove of the home.

No apology needed. I sent my partner in TX a picture of the house and at first he thought it was a joke and something I cooked up using Photoshop or found out on the net trying to get him fired up. He is an Architect, and just could not believe his eyes. He still thinks it is a fake picture, he just cannot bring himself to believe someone would do that to such a gorgeous design.

My cousin is a Realtor out there and found them for us. We made an offer to the bank in the morning, and closed first thing after lunch with keys and title in hand. My first Short Sale and probable last.

Wow, chip on your shoulder? Or kidding...I can't tell.

I can assure you real grass grows just fine out there, and actually thrives even. Winter rye grass in the winter months and then bermuda grass in the the summer does great. And lava rock? It's crushed granite. Not sure where you got your info.

Typical SW building materials, may as well be an adobe hut...US flag, foreign made minivan, crotch rocket in garage, solar powered attic fan. Typical new age eco hippie.
Real grass won't grow there so they import palm trees to water with Colorado River water then truck in lava rock from Hi, put down 4 inches of crush & run and lay some fake grass on top. It's very expensive so that is why the entire front isn't done and the rest is lava rock (from half way around the world).

It has astroturf and rock in the front yard...which means no water...who gives a chit about a house that shouldn't exist anyway. They are one drought or power outage away from abandoning that.

And it's a SolarCity install, so you know they aren't using micro-inverters or optimizers (unless SolarCity has started using those?)

It may be functional but I have to agree I don't care for the looks of those panels.
