It's because you have the black diamonds and the black frames. Those are the panels I wanted originally, they cost a little more and they're slightly less efficient because they run a little hotter, because of the black. That is what I was told anyhow.Leave a comment:

A few more. A few things were important to me aren't obvious, like attaching the sub-panel to a stud, making sure no wires touch the roof, etc. I didn't want to do a roof penetration for the conduit, but in the end I think one would have been fine, and would have looked a lot better. I didn't want any long runs of conduit on the roof, I really hate those. If I had a little more pride I would have run everything in the attic.
