Hybrid inverter to power air conditioner

    Morning gents,

I have the opportunity to purchase some unused surplus panels for a song, ( 6000 watts for 25 cents per watt ).
as the price of power continues to rise, I am considering a solar array to supply power to my air conditioner.
The idea here is to supplement the grid during periods of good sun to offset my electric bill.
the a/c is a multi stage unit consuming at most 4000 watts. it is fitted with a soft start device as voltage here in my rural area drops somewhat during the day
and this helps reduce startup ( LRA ) currents.

my plan is to use a hybrid inverter with MPPT controller built in and NO batteries, therefore programming the unit for solar priority and using the grid as backup.
as an EE i consider this setup trivial, however, I have no experience at all of hybrid inverters. could someone with experience please advise me if this is achievable
and what issues I might have to overcome. thanks.
