After record snowfalls this year with over 1m in a single storm, I've been researching optimal clamp/rail placement for maximum snow load. LONGi's installation manual seems reasonable, but JA Solar seems to have something wrong. For the JAM54S30: inner 115cm holes or 1/4L+- 5cm = 86.1cm +- 10cm. Looking at deflection formulas for double-cantilevered beams, I think the formula in the JA manual should be S = 0.2L +- 5cm, which would give a spacing of up to 113 cm (within 2 cm of the inner 4 holes).
