I have a 5kW system installed at my home. Sadly I did not do it DIY, but in the future I am hoping to make a battery wall, add more panels and go off grid. The good news is we have not had to pay a power bill in over 7 months, except for base connection fees. I think before doing anything else, I am going to get my parents and system installed, but this time DIY. I honestly got scared of the paper work and inspections, but after seeing it when they installed my system, it really wasn't that bad.
