Your first mistake was that you did not buy the pet fish first, before building the pond.
You have done this absolutely backwards.
First, you buy the most efficient pump for your size pond. Take into account the required volume and lift, and any plumbing restrictions or strainers.
Decide how many hours a day the pump needs to run.
calculate the energy required. 250W pump x 6 hours =1500watt hours.
Decision time. 200' of 16 ga extension cord = $90 or
600w of solar panels, charge controller, battery, inverter, PV panel mount, raintight shed for the gear. $5,000Leave a comment:

I would like to use a ac pump..
any advice of which inverter to get, along with a suitable pump and battery to make the system work...
