  • Need Some Help With SCC Sizing For Cargo Trailer System

I have a friend who got eviscerated in a nasty divorce. He came out of it with a plot of land, a 6 x 12 cargo trailer and an empty bank account. He's going to be living in the trailer for a while or maybe longer. He has 3 - 260 watt 37.2v/60 amp panels he bought before the divorce, along with 2- 100 amp hr Lifepo4 batteries that were pulled from a wrecked trailer and a 1100 watt inverter. His 120v needs are minimal - 2.7 cu.ft dorm fridge, lap top and a tv. He needs to buy as inexpensive of a charge controller as he can to get the system up and running. The panels are 4 years old and will be flat mounted on the roof. The system will be 12v as he already has a 12v inverter and no $ to replace it. I've seen that if he wires panels in series, he needs 150v/60 amp SCC and in parallel, 100v/60 amp SCC. What would y'all recommend for a budget (?) controller to get him started. Thanks
