Do not connect the panels without the battery being connected first. Otherwise you will be replacing your burned up controller.

Did you connect the batteries first before connecting the panels to the controller?

Don't have the batteries yet.

Found the problem...had the red tape (+)indicator on the wrong cable at the other end of my extension cable.

Hi all first time posting here and hopefully I can get a little help.

Got 2 80 watt panels joined together going on the roof of my Navara.
They connect to a 20A PWM Solar charge controller.
I have both panel positive and both panel negs joined together going into the controller via a Anderson plug extension lead.

When hooked up to the controller I get no indication that power is generating for example the "sun" indicator shows nothing as if there is no power being generated.

Can someone please tell me where I have gone wrong.
