Problem faced with solar optimizer ?

    Hi,

I'm currently doing a research on solar optimizer (eg, solaredge, trigo)

I would like to see if there is any problems faced when using these optimizer (eg, diode blown up, optimizer not working, etc)

Is there anyone that can help me with this ?

With the current generation of SolarEdge products, there haven't been many problems reported in this forum. A couple with communication issues, maybe one that was underperforming. No failures that hurt the rest of the array, and all of them showed up soon after the install (infant mortality). Plenty of SolarEdge systems are getting installed, it looks like we'll see in a couple years if there are any latent problems that get exposed.

Very few members have mentioned installing Tigo optimizers. I've got nothing for you there...

I wish I could find more for you (there are a couple), but sometimes searching the forum isn't very easy.

Are you trying to use the built-in search tool in the Forum software?
It is not very flexible and does not produce particularly good results. Sometimes a thread will not show up in a search when you know that the search words you used are in the thread.

I prefer to use Google search, with the additional search term site:solarpaneltalk.com. That has all of the features and power of Google search, although there may be a delay on new posts until the robots have indexed that post or thread.

Yeah, I usually use google, although the forum search is sometimes nice when you want to limit searches by username. In this case, I haven't come up with search terms specific enough to narrow down the results to the few fragments of conversations that I am remembering.
