  • Cogenra Solar Modules

    Hello everyone!

Last year a startup named Cogerna announced their DCI solar panel with a whopping 400W output. A whole year on, and there is still no data available for these panels (apart from of course its power output and how it broke records). Some might say that it was just a market gimmick or much ado about nothing, but their technology (DCI- Dense Cell Interconnect) known as "shingling/tiling" assembly is actually very interesting. The possible reason that no other company is coming up with such modules is the same as it was for Sanyo/Panasonic HIT, patent protection.

If anyone has any data or lead about what prices are they quoting or what kind of cells they are using, what's the efficiency or anything, I would be very interested.

Let me know! Hope you all are having a good morning/evening!

It's probably still too expensive to produce, so they are only prototypes. People come out with new high efficiency modules all the time, but they still can't compete with traditional designs in cost per watt.
