I am working on designing an off-grid solution for a small community far off the grid in Belize. The property has already been purchased and we are already entertaining the costs involved in bringing power to the area, but we want to look at alternative solutions as well.
The property will have 10 approx 1500sqft family homes and we are looking to provide power sufficient for basic western luxuries like AC and food refrigeration. The stoves/ranges/clothes dryers will be left on LP. Here in Belize we average 10 sun hours per day, and the property has a large hill with a south facing slope, so we should be able to capture a maximum amount of energy, and tracking is part of the plan (unless you convince me otherwise).
I question, is what equipment do you suggest I consider for such a project, and why? Thanks.
