  • Some Nuclear news

Mainly for Sunking but for anyone who wants to read.

This article mentions that Nuclear energy is up about 1% this year over last in terms of recent uprates and production.
The uprates since the 1970s account for what would be considered a total of 6 nuclear plants.

    Coal has been dropping yearly.

I hope you are right that the Utilities are moving back to Nukes for power generation. While it talks about Duke growing it doesn't mention that they decided not to fix the one Nuke it had in Florida when it consolidated with Progress Energy. Also they have not confirmed that they will ever build the other one that Progress Energy had on the drawing board that I have been paying for the last few years.

Japan is preparing to restart all the nuke plants they had shutdown due to green whining - after proper checking that they don't have any more of the foolishness where the emergency DG sets are easily flooded etc.

PM Abe considers it dumb not to use them - good for him! Now if our president had balls enough to lead --------------

Nuclear electric production is up for 1 main reason. Because the Employment Prevention Agency and Obama are snuffing coal plants, and secondary because Natural Gas prices are at record low prices. Problem is Obama and th eEPA now will go after nuclear and NG plants to snuff them.

Remember Obama promised to raise energy prices by some 500% to punish you. That is what you asked and voted for.
