    Magnum MS -4020

Thanks for all help on the charge controllers, wiring sizing, etc. I got everything hooked up with no problem and got my battery bank back to charging today. I'm using the TS-60 and the Morning Prostar 25 amp charger with the two arrays. Now down to the last thing to install the MS-4020. With my AIMS (all in one) it had the transfer switch inclusive with the unit. However, I never used it but worked the unit manually. If the batteries needed super charged I'd just crank the generator. If the ac needed to be turned on, all I did was crank the generator and ran off it. I did not need to switch anything. I suppose the inverter knew that internally. I'm totally off grid and not worried about the grid going down and needing power.

The Magnum has a 45 amp charger included, which I hope to operate in the same way as I did my AIMS. Does anyone know if I can operate the inverter as I did my AIMS without a transfer switch.
Working...
