I am doing a simulation for one axis solar tracking. The angel between the PV module and ground is 30 degree north direction. Now i have to perform one axis solar tracking. I have to move the solar panel horizontally with the changing of position of sun from east to west. Which angel of sun should i follow to track the sun to get the maximum yield? Azimuth angel or Elevation angel of sun? What should be my equation to find the total yield for one axis sun tracking? i know this is a really old topic. But I did not find any satisfactory answer anywhere. Thank you!

It sounds like you have a single axis tracking device aligned north - south with the axis tilted toward the equator at 30 degrees, correct ? See Duffie & Beckman, Sec. 1.7, "Angles for tracking surfaces", or any decent text on solar energy, or NREL. Methods abound. Results from the calculation will need to be integrated over the period of interest - hr./day/whatever. -
