    Adding more capacity

We had a system installed a couple of years ago with 16 LG320N1C-G4 panels and a SolarEdge SE5000A-US inverter with P320 optimizers. It has been working well but our power utilization has increased and we need to expand it. Our original installer has advised us that with this inverter, we can add up to 5 more panels without experiencing clipping. We're thinking of adding only 4 more panels of the same make.
Will appreciate your thoughts and advice if anything in this plan should be changed.

Any regulatory/gov. or POCO requirements that would need consideration or possibly change things ?

As for clipping, I'd look back and see what the highest output from the current array has been, and if only as a gut check/1st approx., boost that by a factor of (16 + 5)/16. Then, see if SolarEdge says your inverter will clip with that input. Even if it does, it may not be too much.

See follow on posts to your prior Jan. postings re: adding panels.

Looking into replacing the 5000A-US inverter with a 5000H-US. It's the newer model and can be loaded up to 155%... in case you need to add more than 4-5 panels.
