    Free standing solar in Maryland

Looking to build/have build some sort of free standing pergola type structure to provide some shade over my deck. Deck is appox 22w 17d about 3 steps off the ground. Saw some interesting designs on Google images. Best just to contact the solar folks in MD?

    Thanks

Depends on inspections you need. If you are going for grid-interTie, it will all very likely need to be engineered, permitted and approved, as part of the power generation agreement.
If you are going to hang nightime garden lighting off it, likely no issue. (until there is an issue)
