OK - i hope that's the case with me too; i noticed that for the first week or two the smartmeter had no rate information loaded into it, and now it has this E1 schedule so i assumed PGE must have loaded it. but of course it does not have to be correct in the meter for the billing to happen properly. it just seemed suspicious.

ok, i just called them. they offered no explanation for what happened, only saying that the situation is somewhat unusual, and that they had dropped the ball on their end. they had not put me on rate EV, saying that i needed to provide a VIN number for an electric or plug-in car. my solar installer told me that proof of ownership of an EV was not necessary (which seemed odd to me.) the installer used PGE's new-ish online NEM application; perhaps the online application does not allow them to put in a VIN number? dunno.
so now they are saying to either ignore my current E1 bill, or perhaps pay part of it (which i can probably compute). now that i have given them a VIN # that they have put in a request to switch to rate EV (which could take 2 billing cycles... yikes), and they have requested that the switch be made on the PTO date.
so fingers crossed, we'll see what happens.

Glad to hear they were responsive, and that your instinct for transition not being handled right was correct. It is a good lesson for others... look closely at that first bill!
On my system, I found that SDG&E had the wrong system size listed... they had used the interconnect application filed by an installer that I did not go with, instead of the correct one. As a result, their file had the wrong equipment and was too small (even after correcting for CEC ratings), and my actual system was already in violation of the +10% rule that could have potentially triggered a new interconnect agreement under NEM 2.0.CS6P-260P/SE3000 - http://tiny.cc/ed5ozxComment

yikes, now that would have been awful. to my knowledge i only had one installer file any paperwork, but of course it could have been wrong. i will double check it.Comment

looks like the wheels are already in motion - the EAGLE just gave a message talking about a rate change, and if i log into my PGE account it shows my E1 service as "deactivated". oh in what enlightened times we liveComment

I got a message on Eagle today also, paraphrased "because your rate schedule has changed you will no longer see rate and prediction amounts". I got the email yesterday of final NEM approval.
Good job keeping on top of everything. Mistakes abound on every project we tackle. At first I thought it was bad luck, then I wondered how much of the dumbing down of America was involved. I was probably just unaware how often these happened when I was younger. The big ones tend to fix themselves and the little ones go unnoticed. The online systems allow for so much transparency with forums like this and expert volunteers like sensij above, gotta love it.Comment

So for my situation:
My normal billing period started 12/9.
My first NEM app (with mistakes) submitted 12/4. The corrected and approved NEM application was on 12/10. I received PTO on 12/14.
They credited my exports back to 12/9 (the start of the current period).
But didn't start my official NEM TrueUp period until the approval date 12/14.

thanks for the data point, cebury. have you recevied any kind of NEM statement from PGE?
so it's been a couple of days, and my meter still has no pricing info in it, my E1 service still shows "stopped" on pge.com, and there's no other electric service tied to my account. when you guys transitioned to NEM did you get a new service ID? maybe i have to manually add it into my pge.com account.
there are hints that things have changed - the tooltip in the "my energy use" screen on pge.com says "net energy metering" now, whereas before it said "tiered residential".
does the NEM trueup happen in december of each year, or is it a year from when NEM was activated for each particular customer?

And this has changed: My Rate Plan
You are ineligible for rate change.
and Rate Comparison Tool
We're sorry, the My Rates tool is not available for your rate at this time.does the NEM trueup happen in december of each year, or is it a year from when NEM was activated for each particular customer?

well at the very least the meter is still reporting in, since the usage still shows up on the daily energy use graph. my account actually said 'ineligible for rate change' before any of this stuff but i think that may have been because i was on smartmeter opt-out. at any rate i still have electricity flowing into the house! unless they cut my power, i'm just going to wait to see if i get a monthly NEM statement. i did get a robo-call today from PGE regarding the solar program and telling me to expect the stuff in the mail...Comment

ok a new service appeared in my account; when i click that one and go to the summary page, it shows my current rate as "HEVAN". i guess that stands for EV-A NEM? hopefully. under that it says effective since 22 nov 2015 so it looks like everything is in order. unfortunately the EAGLE still sees no pricing data in the meter.Comment

PG&E also does not provide pricing info in my meter and I doubt they do it anywhere.

It just shows "Not Set"Comment

well, my eagle was reporting the correct rate for E1 tier 1 up until the point that i called PGE, so at least some tariffs have their pricing loaded into the meter. i actually asked the eagle technical support about EV and they say they contacted PGE to ask if the rates should or should not be loaded into the meter when a customer is on EV.Comment
