    can i modify flexible panels?

hi all, new here, Irishman living in England. i have a toyota landcruiser im prepping for overlanding. part of this process is installing as much solar panelling as i can.

i dont want them to be obvious, because if they are theyll get robbed.

to this end, i came across this beautiful black peel and stick flexible panel. i want to mount it to the roof of my (black) 4x4. thing is its too long, i think its like 120 inches, but all i have is 80 inches. can i cut these and have them still work?

    links to a pdf - http://www.uni-solar.com/wp-content/.../PVL-68_EN.pdf

    regards,
    Redd .

Redd what purpose will this serve?

If you are driving, just adding an aux battery or two along with a battery isolator using the vehicle alternator for power will provide 100 times more power than any solar panel you can attach to your vehicle, and it doesn't cost anything.

hey there Sunking, yeah im looking into getting a sterling alt regulator. mainly its to power a low power mini itx computer. plus, i just like the idea of free (free) power ) had one of those ipc flexi panels before and i could run a low power highly efficient tripath amplifier through high efficiency speakers and the volume level attained was freakish . it just looked wrong with no battery

i still have those amps, so yeah its to run a low power computer and sound system.

my back windows are covered over, i was thinking i might line them with flexi panels too, but of course to do this id have to customise/trim them.

      is it possible?
