Hi. I installed a hotspot AC system that uses solar power during daylight hours and then will run off grid power when no sun. I added 2 cheap meters to monitor how much grid power we use and how much solar power we use when running the system. It will be fine but they are incredibly cheap and concerned they wont last. The DC monitor seems to have already failed. It was reading solar power output at 39V in the beginning and now shows 60V which is way off. That is after only 5 days of solar installed use.
I will pay for a better way but having a hard time finding something. I prefer to not have the meter inline with the solar system but rather use a shunt to monitor. I would really like something like wireless that will save a wattmeter reading daily for dc power and ac power usage and be able to archive to a spreadsheet.
