            It is worth $10 to get one of those energy monitors that a wire just gets slipped thru a donut to get wattage over a couple of weeks. I have one just wired up to a 120V plug making it easy to set up and move around. Just double the wattage reading.

              Just make sure the device is accounting for power factor, by comparing voltage and current phase.
              Current only will give the correct answer only on a purely resistive load. Bruce Roe
