They are about 30 years late to the game. Salt thermal storage has been around a long time Solar 1 & 2 sold solar electricity to Los Angeles in the 90's

If you look at the date of that article you would see it is from January 2008. Not even close to being an accurate up to date view of the solar heated thermal salt technology.Comment

Yep it is pretty cool technology but unfortunately there have been bumps in the road for it to meet the claims people have made back in 2008. Even the original Spanish company that built these Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) systems is still having doubts it will provide power 24/7 without issue.Comment
