    How to check SPD will work in range 10-20 KA?

    How can i generate fault to trip SPD at 15 KA to check SPD in working condition oe not?

    A megger Mega Ohm meter. You have to remove the device from service, and insure the megger can approach the voltage needed to activate the SPD.
    But, there are only a couple types of SPD's, calibrated wires in a can of calibrated sand, or a can of Varistors (MOV) .
    And, most SPD's are a one-shot, use it once and then replace it, The simple act of testing it, can damage it. So generally, rely on the mfgs test data, and replacement
