Newbie question. I am playing around with theoretical configurations for a new installation and found what seems to be a useful tool, at least for a beginner.
The data I am using is based on the PVSelect tool, which describes iteslf as a "Free Tool for Pairing and Comparing Photovoltaic Modules and Inverters". So far, the module and inverter selection parts seem to datafill the operating parameters according to the manufacturer's specs. The output from the tool is a table of STC/PTC/CEC values of different modules/string and string count combinations.I've also played with an inverter vendor's tool, the SMA spreadsheet, which provides similar type output for 7 SMA specific inverter pairing options.
Is anyone else using these tools? The numbers seem accurate, but other than one case I haven't checked against the module data sheets.
