I'm about to purchase a SunPower microinverter system. The system comes with a monitoring system that allows me to monitor production as well as consumption. The production is always set up. However, the consumption part is not always enabled. They told me they will do it for free if their enough room to put the clamps around the mains. SunPower told me that 90% of the time they will fit. They said if it doesn't fit, I can pay them to run some kind of extender effectively extended the panel box to another box where they have room to clamp. I think this is what they said. Apparently, there are kits you can buy the address this issue.
Does anyone have any information about these kits? I can't seem to find them anywhere. Do you have a link?
What would the cost be to do something like this? I'd really like to know how much energy I am consuming. I think it would be a cool feature to enable.
