  • How to Safeguard Solar panels from critters like squirrels, pigeons, etc.

Does anyone know what I would search for to find something that will safe guard solar panels from squirrels, critters, pigeons, and other things of a similar nature? Is there a product out there designed for this? Any and all thoughts on the matter are greatly welcomed / i cant figure out what to search for in order to find the right product i am looking for

are you having a problem with critters? and if you do have some nesting under panels, is there any evidence of damage?

You are trying to protect the back sides? One possibility is to form some coarse hardware cloth: like, 1/2" squares of soldered wire. I haven't
found any pest that will chew through steel. Bruce Roe

Beware when adding critter guards around the backside of panels, the upper end will collect debris and will need periodic cleaning.

That I suppose, is if the guard is close to a roof? I'm adding that as #25 to my list of advantages of a ground mount where practical. Bruce Roe

I still think having your pet snake on the roof under the panels will chase them squirrels away.
