    Cheap solar system ?

    Hi ,

I am lookking for a home grid solar system (1.5 KW - 2 KW), is there somthing that I can find that isn't so expansive ?
I look on the everGreen B grade panel (I live outside US) and the are cheep ,
but I live ouside US and I don't know where can I find them...

a DIT isn't an option (due to regualtion) , So I ask myself how can I achive cheep solar with nice performance , anyone ?!?!

is it just for rich people ?

DIT? Did you mean grid-tied? If you are thinking a battery system there is no such thing as inexpensive. A battery system will cost you 10 to 30 times more than buying it from the electric company.

Approved GT inverters are not cheap - a lot of engineering went into them and qualifying them.

PV panels are not cheap, and for GT systems, must generally be approved too, no DIY PV or Inverters.

But you can buy the parts, have an engineering study done for the support structure (roof top, pole, ground mount) install them yourself and after permits are signed off, the utility company will allow you to connect.

Self install may not qualify for rebates though! Installed properly, GT systems are fairly reliable.

How cheap is cheap, lots of companies out there can get local rebates and with a 30% Fed tax credit it seems like a 2Kw system could be installed reasonably.

I know here in AZ the utility pays $3 a watt rebate and the state kicks in about a $1000 tax credit.
