I set off to find a company that would allow me to buy the equipment myself and do what I could while they would take care of the permitting , all electrical connections , and ensuring the system gets setup with net metering this was a quote from one of the companies:
Plans stamped and approved $4,500.00
Electrical connections $25.00 per hour two man crew believe it would take 8 to 16 hours.
Permits 20% above the municipality charge. Miami Dade county charges $454.00 Homestead charges as much as $1,200.00 I am not sure where you fall.
Installation $25.00 per hour three man team.
I could buy the equipment for about $15,000 - roughly 14-15kw system with a string inverter. This quote puts adds another ~6k to it.. so 21 large for the entire thing..
Can I do better or is this seem decent ?
