  • repair backsheet puncture?

I noticed a small scrape with a tiny puncture in the white backsheet of one of my new QCells modules during installation. Is this repairable or is the module ruined?

If the damage hasn't penetrated the encapsulant You could lightly sand (rough up) the back sheet around the puncture and cover with some 3M 5200 or other quality, non silicone based sealant. You should be good to go. If the encapsulant has been breached and there is visible damage to the cell you still may be able to seal using the same method but the life of the panel may be affected.
