Got my permits approved. Apparently, the inspector wants to see my hole in the ground before I pour the concrete.. At what point should I call him or what is it he wants to see? Do I need to have the concrete forms in place before calling? Or does he just want to see that the hole is deep enough?
My system is a ground mount on an east-west slope so I'm using a combination of 55 gallon drums (below ground) and sonotubes (above ground) for the forms. I just attached the sonotubes to the 55 gallon drums since the drums are only an inch larger in diameter. I'm just wondering, should I call him after I dig the holes or after the concrete forms are in place?
