I am getting ready to order a 500KW SatCon powergate plus inverter and am not sure if I need all of the intelligent metering options since the system design already includes an Obvius Acquisuite A8812 data acquisition server, an Obvius weather station, and (2) Obvius Modhopper R9120 transceivers. The system will be connected to a Southern California Edison grid and monitored by a 3rd party. It seems that most of the capabilities of the Obvius components are redundant to many of the monitoring options available on the SatCon Inverter. I dont want to order or redundantly pay for these options on the inverter if they are already accounted for with the Obvius system. Does anyone have any information for this design?
