He everybody. I'm experimenting with solar mostly for purposes of power outages and camping. I use a CPAP and this summer went car camping with a deep cycle battery and converter, but no solar. I was given two nice 170 watt panels. I am working on a two-battery box with duracell ultra deep cycle batteries. I have a cheap Harbor Freight 200 watt inverter, and a Renology 30 amp controller. Interested in setting up a solar powered room with lights, fan, CPAP, maybe AC but that's asking a lot in Texas. Interested in DC lights and fan to avoid inverter loss.

Most CPAP machines have a 12V power cord. I would never plug my CPAP into a HF inverter.

I don't run the CPAP off an inverter but off a DC transformer (said converter, not inverter) from the mfr of the CPAP itself, which is not 12v but something funky like 18 or 19.5v .... Worked fine. Thanks.
