  • the doctor has arrived

I installed a grid tied system on my garage in 2016. it consists of a fronius IG plus 10.0 inverter and 40 topoint 180 watt panels. I have been an electrician for over 40 years and found no problems doing the install and passing inspection with my local power provider.
My electric rates are 12 cent a kw and the power company buys back power at the retail rate of 12 cents regardless if I am over net or not.

my total cost of install was under $7,000. usd and it has been operating flawlessly from day 1.

Previously I installed a 5kw wind generator for a friend and I find solar a much simpler machine.

I heat my home with geothermal heat pump and solar helps a lot with my electric bills
