    12 V light doesn't work from CC

    Hi,

Got a solar system on my shed as follows:

2 x 100 Watt panels (connected in parallel to maintain the 12 V)
    1 x 30 Amp CC
    1 x 12 V motion light (10 W) (two wires, black and red)
1 x wet filled, acid deep cycle (80 amp/h) battery

Now, when I connect the 12 V motion light directly to the battery, it works fine, But when I connect it to the CC, it doesn't work. The CC controller has an output for a 12 V DC light (at least that is what the manual says), so why doesn't it work?

    thanks

Some charge controllers use the PV panel to sense nightime, and that triggers the Lighting Channel.

Most controllers require battery connection first, to boot up from a stable source, and then after a minute or 2, you can connect the solar PV.

I don't know what I did, I was fiddling with the controller settings in the deeper menu's and now it works as it should. I'm now getting the light to work via the controller.

      Thanks

You should be able to set the duration of the light operation in the menu. Operation is triggered by darkness unless you set the duration to 24 h
