Cross-posting this from the RV forum which gets very little traffic. I installed 3 x 327w Sunpower panels on my Sprinter. They are far and away the best size and only way to achieve such high watts on a vehicle. However, someone offhandedly mentioned they are a poor choice for 12V because Sunpower has a positive ground. I've also heard an MPPT controller will nullify this.
I have:
Victron 150/85 MPPT CC
400AH batttleborn LiFePo batteries (I got great deal)
but nothing's hooked up yet as I'm waiting on cabling. Am I screwed? These panels are so perfect and the yield is so good, I'll buy whatever to get them to work. Obviously, I can't buy a GT Inverter though.
Am I screwed, or is there a happy ending here?
Thanks!
