  • Can 1000w pure sinewave runa fridge?

Friend is considering to run 10 lamps of each 10w, tv and his fridge on solar 12v system with 1000w pure sinewave.

Question is, is 1000w pure sinewave herefore enough?

It can be done. 1,000 PSW inverter is about the smallest inverter that can reliably start a common fridge. With a 12v system, having proper cables & terminations is critical for supplying enough surge at turn ON to actually be able to start the fridge. It's not about cables heating up for the half second, it's about reducing all resistance to the minimum to insure the inverter has enough voltage to work properly.
If the battery is low, old, or many other loads are on, starting performance may be marginal.

Usually yes. It depends partly on the quality of the inverter. I've used a Prosine 1000 watt inverter to run a mini-fridge and it worked fine.

Starts and runs our 1949 Ben Hur fridge no issues. Been doing it for many years. Does it while powering led lights, internet, satellite and a small led tv.

Fridges vary widely on power draw. Old ones can be huge hogs. Some of the new ones are amazingly low power. I've seen new big expensive fridges that only need 2amps. Loads like this you often just can't know unless you try it.
            BSEE, R11, NABCEP, >1200kW installed

              As do inverters.
