  • Charge with higher voltage or higher amps?

    I have an off grid setup in my shed.

    2- 100 watt panels with a MPPT charge controller wired in parallel. I have some shading on one panel when it hits around 2:00 pm.

    My question is, is it better to put in higher volts or higher amps to charge?

    So, 40v/5a or 20v/10a

    I have 12 volt batteries.

    If panels are going to be shaded part time, wire them in parallel, if they have sufficient voltage to charge the batteries
