How much a 255 watt panel should give ampere on both an MPPT and PWM charger when we attach appliances with it at 100% capacity and in optimum weather when company spec sheet sticker says 8.37 Ampere.

If the panel has a spec sheet that indicates it can produce 8.37amp at full power then more than likely you will always get less even with the best weather conditions.
An MPPT CC will generate charging amps that is close to the panel wattage divided by the battery voltage. While a PWM will provide only the amps that a panel will input into it.
So for a 12volt battery system an MPPT should generate ~ 255w / 12v = 21amps. While the PWM can only generate 8.37amp of charging
Simple rule of thumb:
MPPT - watts in = watts out
PWM - Amps in = Amps out -

MPPT is easy, makes no difference if the battery voltage is 12 or 24 watts you get 255 watts. At 12 volts you will have up to 21.25 amps, and at 24 volts up to 10.6 amps.Last edited by Sunking; 05-07-2017, 11:49 PM.MSEE, PEComment
