Due to lack of competent people in my lcoation I generally need to come up with my own designs so please bear with me. My plan is to power a 3 phase 415V submersible pump at a depth of 180m bgl.
The pumps I'm looking at have motors of 3kW, 4kW and 5.5 kW respectively. They will be driven by a pump inverter with VFD.
How big does the array need to be? I'm working with a factor of 1.5 * kW, i.e. 3kW of panels for a 2kW pump. Is that sufficient? Too much?
