We have a standalone 1kW solar panel at our campus. Our teacher has given us the task of finding its MPP voltage and current experimentally by varying the load. How should it be done. I am confused. Help needed.
How to calculate MPPT voltage and MPP current as a lab experiment

time, or just one if identical.
You need to first find out the open circuit voltage of a panel. Connecting it to an ammeter, or shorting the output and using a clamp
on ammeter will tell you the short circuit current. Then you will need to construct a dummy load capable of operating within those
limits, or perhaps you have a lab dummy load. Bruce Roe -
Make sure you wear electrical protective gloves. a 1kw pv system will generate voltages way above the safe level of 50VDC.Comment

Easiest way is to measure Voc (voltage open circuit) and Isc (current short circuit). To solve for Vmp = Voc x ..8, and Imp = Isc x .9MSEE, PEComment
