Assuming I discharge them to 50% every night, and get good sun most days. Thanks.
How many batteries can 400 watts of PV handle?

depends your location, how you angle your panels, the type of battery you chose. You will need heavy gage wire for low 12 volt system.4X Suniva 250 watt, 8X t-105, OB Fx80, dc4812vrf -

If your panels are 2X 200 watt 60 cell panels, I would go with wiring them in series into a quality MPPT controller and charge two 100 AH batteries in series. would give you 50 AH a day minus losses. or 100AH @ 12volts. if panels are optimally angled and you manage your daytime and night load, should give you most of charge. You should also hit them with a generator or stiff AC smart charger weekly. or even daily depending system performance and weather,Last edited by Logan005; 05-05-2016, 11:41 AM.4X Suniva 250 watt, 8X t-105, OB Fx80, dc4812vrfComment
