I have a 170wb xl Sprinter that is 24' bumper to bumper. I have two Solarworld 280 watt panels connected in series and it is connected to a Renogy 4210 MPPT charge controller. This is connected to a Magnum Energy 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter with two 100ah batteries and a Yamaha ef3000iseb generator with auto start. IMG_5445.jpg
Most wattage I can fit on a high roof sprinter (~128" x ~58")

There are some high wattage 12 volt panels out there. I see 175-200 watt panels in a 39 3/8" x 39 3/8" (6 x6 cell ) format and also some in the 27" x 58" (4 x 9 cell) format. You may be able to get these sized panels to fit and achieve the wattage you need. search eBay. for a seller named Fred 480 V2.2kw Suntech mono, Classic 200, NEW Trace SW4024Comment

If cost is no option, use Panasonic H.I.T. panels and a MPPT charge controller. Try Renvu.comBSEE, R11, NABCEP, Chevy BoltEV, >3000kW installedComment

I managed to fit 3 sunpower 327w panels with some overhang for a total of 981w.
I think I'll be able to tilt them with an actuator, so I built a hinge on one side.Attached FilesLast edited by Withalligators; 03-26-2018, 03:59 PM.Comment
