    controller question

    Hi all
I have a 250w solar panel with a 30a control charger. I have also put a 240v 7 stage charger on it. When I put it on the 240v charger it does not stop charging when it is full. It is suppose to cut out when it reaches 100%. I am not sure if its the actual charger itself or if I need to buy a different type, would anyone know why it would not stop charging when full?

The mains powered charger must go through all 7 stages before it calls the battery full. Only a couple stages are charging, others are diagnostic and conditioning, what does the charger manual recommend for the size battery you have ?

What exactly is your charger? And what is your battery?

It is not uncommon for automotive type batteries to indicate a full condition too early, but there could be other issues. More info needed.
