    UV Stabilised Resin

    Hey everyone,
I'm using transparent UV stabilized resin in some experiments. But one thing I know from this forum - there is no completely UV resistant resin :] I was just wondering what does UV stabilized mean and how many hours or years I can expect, without it going yellowish. Or perhaps a better question would be how much longer would it last than normal resin?

I asked manufacturer couple of times and got no answer :/
    I'm using [URL="http://www.reichhold.com/en/composites-product-detail.aspx?pid=1078&list=all"]POLYLITE

Another question is water vapor transmission of the resin.

You need the UV to last at least 20 years before damage.

Yes, surely, water transmission is another question, but one problem at time :]

Got the answer from manufacturer, but sadly they only said, that no extensive research has been made. Knowing that glass made from PMMA has warranty of 10 years maximum from degradation, I think that resin with PMMA would last even less, no mater how UV stabilized it is.
