SUMMARY:Leaving for 4 months\, what should I do with my solar power system?
DESCRIPTION:Since recently\,I live Off Grid in Dominica. My only source of
power are my solar panels (except my 2 kw backup generator). I have somet
imes to leave for 4 months and I want to be sure to do the wright thing wi
th my system at this moment. I have 4 pairs of Trojan AGM batteries 12V 22
0 AH\, an array of 4 285W solar panels in parallel (Vmp 32V\, Amp 8.9A) an
 d an hybrid charger/inverter 3 kw 24V PWM 30-32V. Everything works well. I
follow strictly the recommendations in the Trojan user manual\, having sa
me Bulk and Absorption Voltage without Floating. Normally\, I reach my tar
 get voltage (28.8V Tp° adjusted) around noon. Now\, when I will leave\, I
consider 3 options.\n\n1) Disconnecting my solar panels and my batteries
from the charger and turn off the inverter.\n2) Put all breaker off in the
house (no consuming) and let running the system with the inverter settled
at Continuous Floating when there is sun (27V Tp° adjusted).\n3) Put all
breaker off in the house\, do nothing at all and let it unchanged until m
y homecoming.\n\nCould you tell me what is the better option and give me a
rguments for each option?\n\nBig thank's to eveybody who could help me.
