Charge controller and inverter leads hook up.

I am installing a xantrax charger/inverter and a outback fm80 controler onto a housboat. I do have the xantrax inverter is installed and was wondering if I can hook the fm80 ccharge controller battery leads to a post on the fuse and on onto the neg post of the xantrax inverter ? I am running 4/0 leads for the inverter
    Thank you all

the controller should have it's own wires right to the battery. And the inverter too. trying to save a few $$ there will really be a pain.
