    Getting rid of shadows

I placed my rows to close together for a good winter time tilt. I'm trying to do a 4 time adjust yearly. On a 37' run I placed 4 rows of panels. about 4' 3" walkway between them. What I'm planning is raising row number #2 4", #3 8", #4 12". I'm thinking I can move the theoretical distant by 8" for each row. And gain 10 degrees of tilt for winter.

My site: http://www.enichesoftware.com Menu item Home projects/solar.

Just got it turned on last week. See live data Cooking 40 watt hrs a day!!!

Next problem is the only tilt legs UniRac provides only go down to 21 degrees. Thats flat for Uniric! I'm in Arizona and that's not the best tilt for summer.

    This is my mod.

Current configuration not shown. The Mod ... #2 is Unirac's main tilt leg (they are many length of tilt legs. This happens to be the shortest. My main leg I think is about 20", with a 14" adjustable leg taking it to 34" high. Thats when the shadow kills me. At the main leg their is a hole it the bottom, which bolts to the angle bracket #3, which bolts to an open rafter (current configuration). My mod is #4 which re-attaches leg to angle bracket. Now on top of #1 which is the 4" leg for the 2nd row of panels. The 4" leg then bolts back to the open rafter with 2-2" lag screws.

I built two nut plates to hold the nuts in place so they don't turn. Unirac's main leg slids in my custom made 2 1/8" square tubing to fit main leg slide. #5 is a set screw (bolt) to stop Unirac's main leg from moving, once it is lowered for summer only. Only have to build 29 more. New 4", 8", 12" legs are ordered.
