O-I Sunpak Solar Collector Parts

Hi,

I have miscellaneous repair parts for the O-I Sunpak Drainable Solar Collector module, model #1104. Most of the parts I have are 110 of the glass evacuated collector tubes. I can provide pictures if requested. Per the Sunpak installation, maintenance & operating guide the part numbers for the items I have are:

Collector Tube - Part Number: 4011
Vent Tube - Part Number: 4063
Over-Temp Sensor - Part Number: 5182
Misc springs, etc.

I also have the Sunmaster Installation Manual when the job was installed in May of 1983.

The glass evacuated collector tubes cost $50 each new back in 1980 so I really have no idea what today's market is. Would like to see them go to someone who needs them to keep their current system running. Will ship at buyers expense.

I've had these parts in my garage since 1996 and haven't had the time to hunt down anymore solar panels or even repair and test the one panel I have. I had planned on getting enough of theses solar collectors to heat my house but that fell through back in 1996 after I was given all the spare parts that management used for repairs. Another guy beat me to getting all the panels so they gave me the parts.

I might be interested in the collector tubes and the vent tubes, do you still have them? How much do you want for them? Can you send photos? Are they the four foot long tubes?

Hi, Yes. I've got as many 4 foot collector tubes as you want. However the vent tubes, I only have 8 of those available.

As far as price goes I'm not sure. I know the collector tubes sold for $50 each new and I really don't know what the vent tubes went for. Let me know how many and make me an offer. I can post a pic of them later this evening.

Where are you located? Would you want me to ship them or would you pick them up?

I'm in Pottstown, PA. Where are you located? I have a 40 tube installation and would like to have some backup tubes. Can you send me photos of the tubes and the vent tubes. Have they been used? Let me know what you want for them.

Hi Tom,
They are new. All the parts I have were surplus replacement parts that the business had on their shelf to keep the system running. How does $20 a tube sound? If that sounds good can you give me your e-mail so we can work out the details?

I would be interested in buying 40 tubes, can you see what it would cost to ship that many? That would help me decide on the price.
Where are you located in Ohio? Maybe I could pick them up.

I'm in Toledo. I could try to get a quote for shipping but I'm not sure how I would ship them all and still make sure some of them don't get damaged. I suppose many boxes and lots of bubble wrap. Let me see what I can do. I'd be willing to drive an hour or 2 and meet you if you were coming to get them, if you wouldn't mind cover fuel.
