  • Assistance with solar panel/ground mount system required

I am looking at installing a ground mount Sonnen Twin Solar System for power generation through the OPA program and hydro one. Each tracker consists of 26 panels per tracker (52 in total).

My question is what solar panels should i go with, the Eclipsall panels which i understand are more efficient and maximize your production compared to Sharp panels or the eclipsall panels.

The Sharp panels are 235 watt vs the Eclipsall panels are 255 watt. The Eclipsall panels will reach the maximum production quicker and hold the peak longer. It is recommended to use Eclipsall Solar Panels for your highest production and revenue.

My main concern is that this is a large amount of money to put out for me as well as a long term investment, and i am worried that if i have problems with the eclipsall panels that this company may not be around in 5 or 10 years. Sharp is a well known bran name and i have confidence in them being around in 20 years and honouring a warrantee on the panels.

Both companies offer a 25 year warrantee on panels but will the eclipsall panel company still be in business in 20 years.

Are my concerns unfounded. Will the eclipsall panels more productive and cost effiecient over the long run? or should i trust my instincts and go with the sharp panels.

    Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

    thanks

    john

Please don't make me delete the entire post. This sounds like an add for a certain manufacturer of module.
And 26 modules on a single tracker? seems a bit out of line to me. At those wattages this would be a huge tracker.

I can't see anything different in the warranty to say Eclipsall is better - the statement they reach production faster and hold the peak longer sounds like salesman's garbage.

They sort the cells like others - testing they describe is nothing unique.

Rich pointed out the size problem.

This is a very large tracker system but my concern is that the manufacture of sharp panels has a much better chance of being in business 20 years from now for warrantee service verses Eclipsall panels (made in china).
