    That will destroy the rechargeable battery. Just sell them while they are still good, if you are not able to use them.

    (But try out the PV/"c" batteries first, make sure it's going to work)

    You might be able to use the low leakage NiMh batteries (enloop) in the camera, and maybe the PV panel can recharge them ?? Check with the cam manf. and see what the best way is.

        PV = photo voltaic panel
        "c" = c size battery. Try the combo of the solar and c battery before you buy/sell anything.

          That's what the company said, put new C-cell batts in and plug the panel in to the bottom port of the camera and the camera will run on the solar in the day and run on the 6 C-cell batts at nite

            well i went out to my trail camera to nite with a solar panel that was supposed to plug right in and it doesnt so im just going to run the two 6volt batteries in series. i looked on the bottom of the camera and the plug in said 12v DC so idk why they told me its a 9volt camera any ideas?? i need to hook up this solar panel so it charges anyway so whats the best way do you think?

            thanks for all the help so far

              You need to write to the camera company, and get a manual that covers the power features. Without that, you are "shooting in the dark". Your "dealer" has no clue.
