Hello,
I was wondering if there are some laws, codes, or safety measures on the issue of how much of the roof area can be covered with PV panels.
On this side of Atlantic (in Germany), you can not cover one slope of your two sloped roof fully with PV array. There needs to be at least 31.5 inches of space between PV array and roof rake, on both roof rakes of a chosen slope surface.
I was wondering if something similar exists in USA, and particular states of USA?
This is probably regulated by fire protection codes.
But is there some other area (some municipality code?) which regulates this?
Thank you for the reply.
